What is the Lincoln Continental?

Previously the Lincoln Continental has been the flagship model for Lincoln who are in fact Ford’s luxury cousin. The past few Lincoln Continentals have been forgetful, so much so that even Lincoln haven’t bothered with one since 2002. Now the brand is back with a stunning luxury saloon which wears the flagship Continental name.

What do I need to know?

The all-new Lincoln Continental is Lincoln’s answer to anyone questioning the brand’s luxury, elegance, power and market presence.

It features a new 3.0L twin-turbo V6 that produces 400 hp and 400 lb-ft of torque. It’s no smoking muscle car though, it has four-wheel drive. The 2017 Lincoln Continental for those that seek quality and craftsmanship.

Inside the new Continental there is a horde of technology and luxury. Lincoln have their own innovative feature called Perfect Position Seat. This seat function can adapt up to 30 different ways and is inspired by private jets. All of this luxury to increase comfort and reduce muscle fatigue.

Rear passengers are also treated to luxuries as Lincoln have provided audio controls, climate controls, sunshades and reclining, heated, cooled and massaging seats.

To add to the comfort and luxury the 2017 Lincoln Continental has active noise control and acoustic laminated glass so you can all enjoy the peace and quiet whilst deliberating some form of business deal.

When can I buy it?

The vehicle that has been shown at the Detroit Motor Show this week is essentially production ready so the Lincoln Continental will be arriving in autumn this year.

You can buy one fairly soon, but only if you live in the US or China which are the markets where Lincoln will be offering their luxurious saloon.
