Aston Martin has unveiled four one-off cars, created by Q by Aston Martin, that it will show off during Pebble Beach week in California later this month.
Q offers buyers almost limitless personalisation options, be it stitching the family crest into the headrest, or creating an entire car, like last year’s epic CC100 Speedster. The cars on display at Pebble were commissioned by Los Angeles dealer Galpin Aston Martin.
There’s a Vanquish coupe painted in a rather vivid Abor Orange hue, with a black interior featuring leather printed with a one-off pattern. More interestingly, the carbonfibre elements inside and out use a weave twice the normal size which amplifies the holographic effect.
More restrained is the Vanquish Volante in a dark Frosted Silver with tan upholstery, moulded into a fluted pattern. The saddle bag between the rear seats is a nice touch.
Seemingly equally retrained is the Ashen Blonde DB9 Volante. At least until you spot the pink interior. And the matching luggage. We wouldn’t be surprised if Paris Hilton has already bought it.
In this writer’s opinion, though, the best of the quartet is the amethyst purple V12 Vantage S, with pearl blue accents on the grille and diffuser and a black-and-purple interior.
Aston Martin said: “Customers encouraged to challenge the Q by Aston Martin team to make their automotive dreams reality. From the simplest colour or trim amendment to wildly ambitious commissions the personalisation service is inspiring its customers to let their imaginations soar.”
The cars will be on display at Aston Martin’s Pebble Beach pavilion from next week.
