THE summer holidays are only a few weeks away now.

So can councils up and down the country think about this please.

… The Christmas bin lorry tragedy in Glasgow just over two years opened up debate about the routes they take.

What baffles me is the timings. Where I live, the lorries are out at 8.30am and on the road where my children go to school.

The chaos and potential danger this causes, with the large trucks and workers in the roads at such a busy time, is huge.

Surely the shift patten can be put back an hour just to avoid school run timings?

It’s just simple common sense.
