IT’S the car that had a fight in Jonathan Ross’ wardrobe.
Not quite. But this is real, a glow-in-the-dark racecar for Le Mans.
Seriously, this has to be the coolest car in the world.
Just look and admire.
This is something that my eight-year-old son would draw, a day-glow car that will light up when it gets dark at Le Mans. Genius.
Not only that but it’s V8-powered and a Corvette. It’s time for a change of pants.
It was designed by an artist called Ramzi Adek, and is simply dubbed ‘Human’.
Larbre team manager Jack Leconte said: “I could see that my fellow team managers were both surprised and pleased by the end result.
“Early feedback from the fans was very positive as well, so we can’t wait to see the reception we’ll get on Le Mans week.”
It’s not just a pretty fascia either.
On the track it’s chasing Aston Martin big time.
Last weekend, the privateer team tested its 2017 Corvette C7.R racer, and ended up setting the second fastest time in the LMGTE-Am category. A time just 0.052secs behind the #98 Aston Martin, currently leading the FIA WEC standings.
In fact, just three-tenths covered off the main contenders of Ferrari, Aston Martin, Porsche and Corvette.
While it’s seconds behind the Aston on track, off it, the C7.R is miles ahead in the fashion stakes.
How long until we get day-glo cars on the road?
This is already my car of the year.
