Dream Drives for Kids

The popular press would have you believe that every supercar owner is a selfish, road-hogging speed merchant. But a man from Portland, Oregon proves otherwise.

Eric Peterson owns a Ferrari 599 and a Lamborghini Gallardo. Rather than stash them in a garage and only take them out on high days and holidays, he does something much more worthwhile with them.

Eric started Dream Drives for Kids earlier this year, taking kids undergoing treatment at a local hospital for a drive in his cars. It’s a brilliant thing to do, giving the kids something to look forward to, taking their mind off whatever they’re going through and putting a smile on their face.

Does anyone do something similar in the UK? Let us know so we can big them up. E-mail team@onlymotors.com.
