TALK about hit the road Jack – at high speed.
Moto GP Australian ace Jack Miller, 22, was in great form at the France Grand Prix yesterday during the first day of free practice.
But today, the young star suffered a horrific crash that could have seen him suffer long-term injury.
Terrifying footage shows Miller come out of the first turn of Le Mans as he gains on two rival racers.
The Estrella Galicia rider expertly leans into the turn before readying himself to switch sides for the second, hoping to overtake the bikes in front.
But as he brings himself upright, he loses control.
Suddenly, he goes rocketing off the track towards the crowd.
The bike shoots forward across the grass at break-neck speed before he slams into the barricade to gasps from the crowd.
Miller and the bike are then violently tossed into the air like a rag doll and rolls several times due to the momentum of the crash.
The Australian is thrown several metres across the ground before lands inches away from his smashed to bits bike.
Somehow Miller walked away from the crash.
He should definitely put his Lottery numbers on tonight!
