IT’S easy to name Bond villains like Jaws, Goldfinger and Dr No.
But can you name the cars of Licence to kill’s enemies?
The gallant 007 has a flashy garage to die for but his enemies haven’t done so bad either over the years in some breathtaking car chases.
Now you can actually be cool enough to own one.
The SVX Concept – an off-road monster used during a particularly high-octane chase across the Austrian Alps in 2015’s Spectre – that’s up for grabs.
Known as the Spectre Defender it’s expected to sell for £150,000 when it goes under the hammer.
The iconic Land Rover Defender was given an overhaul for its silver screen performance – and you can now get your hands on the rare movie veteran.
Producers ordered 10 of the British-built go-anywhere 4x4s from Land Rover’s Special Vehicle Operations department.
The Defenders were then handed over to Bowler – the famous Land Rover tuning company – to be given a Hollywood makeover.
The experts at Bowler ramped the power, added new suspension and fitted huge 37-inch tyres.
Described as ‘the ultimate Land Rover’, the Spectre Defender is a double cab and has a snorkel which allows it to wade into deep water while reducing dust induction.
As with any movie filming, not all the cars survived and a number of the Spectre Defenders were badly damaged in the Austrian Alps.
Fortunately for Bond fans, though, this 2014 car emerged unscathed and is up for sale. It has just 145 miles on the clock, too.
It was bought directly from Bowler and is expected to sell for between £100,000 and £150,000 when RM Sotheby’s auction it off in London on September 6.
You’ll need Goldfinger’s wallet to afford it…
