Much to the excitement of petrolheads the world over, the new Ford Focus RS was launched yesterday. Indeed, they were so excited that the humble Ford managed to upstage the hot-anticipated replacement for the Ferrari 458 Italia, the 488 GTB.

Anyway, the Focus RS launch kicked off with this film of everybody’s favourite Hoonigan, Ken Block (who was involved in the car’s development), ragging a prototype around the German factory it will be built in.

Three things we can learn from this: 1) Mr Block wears a slightly concerned expression when he’s really on it (he’s usually hidden behind a helmet); 2) the radical new four-wheel-drive system seems to be highly effective; and 3) the 2.3-litre, four-cylinder engine powering the Focus RS sounds amazing.

Currently you will find him clicking on a mouse vigorously and uploading his passion all over the site.
