While the world waits with baited breath for Ken Block’s Gymkhana 7 film, the car that features in it will be unveiled at the SEMA show in Las Vegas later this week. And it’s a monster.

Called the Hoonicorn, it started out in life as a 1965 Ford Mustang and now has a Roush-tuned 6.7-litre V8 engine producing a mighty 825hp,backed up by a six-speed gearbox and four-wheel-drive.

That’s a pretty terrifying spec. And it looks suitably evil as well, all steroidal wheelarches and massive spoilers. It took two years to build at ASD Motorsports in North Carolina.

This is basically what happens when you give a man carte blanche to let his imagination run wild. It might just be the most outrageous creation we’ve seen.
