SUPER TROFEO EVO sounds like some posh dessert whipped up by Heston Blumenthal.
It’s actual a very wild new Lamborghini Huracan.
And it looks fast enough to rip the skin off your bones.
The headline news is all in the geeky bits. There’s a new carbon aero kit, a wing and roof fin and more air scoops.
Under the rear deck is the 5.2-litre V10 engine pumping out a whopping 611bhp.
There’s extra safety and comfort, too. Air intakes in the new front bonnet send fresh air in the driver’s direction, while there’s a roof hatch to aid their escape should it all go Pete Tong.
As always, the Huracan is intended for Lamborghini’s Super Trofeo one-make series. If you want to take part, you’ll need 235,000 euros plus tax to buy one. So around £230,000, which strikes us quite good value compared to a standard, £180,000 Huracan.
And if you already have a Super Trofeo, Lambo will sell you the new aero kit to bring yours up to date. That’s nice of them.
The Evo also arrives as Lamborghini announces their new tie-up with watch maker Roger Dubuis, whose name is emblazoned on this first car’s pretty striking livery.
That will help you synchronise timings to rob the bank you need to pay for it.
