The Audi Q8 leaves the Bratislava factory as one of the most assertive-looking cars on the market. But there are always some owners who want their giant-size coupe-SUV to look like it’s positively spoiling for a fight.
Those people may want to have a look at the bodykit German outfit Lumma Design has come up with for the Q8.
The CLR 8S ‘kit adds wheelarch extensions, deeper bumpers, side skirts, rear diffuser, multi-level bonnet bulge and not one but three rear spoilers – one below the rear window, one above and another sat on top of that.
These bits can be finished in body colour or bare carbonfibre. The bonnet bulge and spoiler set are available individually.
Lumma also produces its own wheels and has two sets that will bolt onto the Q8 – the 22in CLR 22 LX or the 24in CLR 24 RS pictured here.
The package is “extroverted and elegant in equal measure,” says Lumma. They are emphatically right on the former point, but the latter? We’ll let you make up your own mind…
Lumma can turn the wick up on the diesel engine that is available in the UK and the 2.0-litre petrol engine that isn’t. The interior can be retrimmed to the owner’s taste, as well.
We don’t know how much all this costs, but it won’t be cheap. We’d rather have an SQ8 than spend an A3-sized chunk of money bodykitting a mid-range Q8, but each to their own.
Whatever, Lumma is very proud of its work here and we have no doubt that these bodykits will fly out of the door.
