Media Sales Support role job specification

Employer View TV Group produces entertainment TV and VOD content based around cars http://tv.onlymotors.com & http://onlymotors.com and broadcasts on OTT / for internet-connected / mobile devices and monetises its own and customer’s content through sponsorship and programmatic advertising. View TV Group will broadcast to USA, Australia and Europe in 2017 Q1 will have a Sky HD channel in Q2.

Responsibilities

− Liaise with the Head of Sales to take over day-to-day contact with advertisers, advertising agencies and sponsors once contact has been made

− The role involves managing the relationship with advertisers, advertising agencies and sponsors on a daily basis to maximise revenues and to manage sales support collaterals

The Media Sales Support Role

The position would start as a support function, allowing the successful candidate to develop the skills necessary to take on more active business development responsibilities

– the applicant must have a desire to progress in this industry:

− Act as the day-to-day designated contact for advertisers, advertising agencies and sponsors through face-to-face, on the phone, written output and by email

– this will include after the Head of Sales has made first contact and after contracts have been signed

− Monitor revenue generation statistics and take action if advertisers and advertising agencies are not complying with contractual agreements

– if adverts are not being served, find out why and resolve or escalate the issue − Make or support sales presentations to channel and/or content owners and service update presentations to sponsors

− Ensure sales documentation is produced to conform to ViewTV Group guidelines

– fanatical about getting paperwork correct to meet ViewTV Group and client requirements

− Compile sponsorship and advertising packs for meetings (fact sheets etc.)

− Coordinate schedules, prepare correspondence, set up meetings

Experience required

Suitable candidates will possess the following skills and qualifications:

− Business diploma or equivalent or a business degree would be desirable

− Experience of working to strict broadcast / delivery deadlines is essential

− Experience in media sales and conversant in the industry terminology

– experience in TV, video, online advertising sales will attract the higher salary

− Experience of programmatic advertising sales will put you ahead of other candidates

− Up to 5 years experience in a customer service / account manager role

− Experience of analysing financial and non-financial dashboard data and developing reports from these

− Experience of taking on an employer’s processes and not just sticking with ‘your way’

− Able to present to and communicate with advertisers, advertising agencies and sponsors confidently

− Able to confidently discuss and resolve issues with suppliers and clients

− Proactive and well organised with demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities

− Ability to work using their initiative and in a team environment

− Proficient in MS Office suite

− Must have a current clean driving license, own transport and be able to commute daily to our office at Green Park, RG2 6UB Reading.
