Mercedes-AMG teases new GT

Mercedes has revealed more images of the new Mercedes-AMG GT, which will be launched towards the end of this year. Replacing the now-discontinued SLS, teh new car will rival the Porsche 911 Turbo, powered by 4.0-litre, twin-turbo V8 engine producing around 500bhp.

Mercedes had previously only released images the AMG GT’s interior, which takes various elements from the C-Class saloon, rendered in high-quality materials. Technology such as Mercedes’ COMMAND infotainment system will be available.

Further details on the Mercedes-AMG GT will be announced in the coming months. For now, Mercedes has launched a film of the car on YouTube, which says Mercedes and AMG have combined “The absolute best of all [they have] done into a single, monumenta, unwavering engineering achievement.”
