What is a Mini JCW Convertible?

While JCW may sound like some form of power tool company, it’s quite simply an abbreviated term for John Cooper Works. A historic name associated with only the very fastest and most capable Minis.

The Mini JCW Convertible is the latest super hot Mini without a solid roof.

What do I need to know?

The Mini JCW Convertible features the same potent 2L four-cylinder as the hardtop version. Power remains the same with 228 hp and 236 lb ft of torque going through the front wheels via a six-speed manual gearbox or an optional eight-speed automatic gearbox.

0-62 mph is completed in 6.6s with the six-speed manual and 6.5s with the eight-speed auto. Top speed is a hairdryer special 150 mph in the manual and 149 mph in the automatic. Regardless of the gearbox choice, the new Mini JCW Convertible is the fastest convertible Mini ever.

The new Mini JCW Convertible also gets damper control is an optional extra and a new stiffening plate underneath the engine comes as standard to help strengthen the chassis. The convertible also gets the same JCW specific Brembo brakes as the hardtop.

When can I buy it?

The new Mini JCW Convertible is set to go on sale in the UK from 5th March. Prices start from £26,630.
