SERIOUSLY, how can you make Cristiano Ronaldo ugly?

Well sculptor Emanuel Santos did.

Ronaldo looked less than amused by the bust he unveiled on the Portuguese island of Madeira earlier this week.

Somehow the chiselled and ripped Real Madrid ace ended up boss-eyed, lopsided and bloated.

It just goes to show how even the most beautiful objects can be ruined easily.

Peugeot have had those problems, too.

Dating back to the original and best hot hatch 205, the one that started the craze, their pocket rockets have been decent.

But they also got a bit bloated-looking with the 207. But now it’s back to its best in the latest 208 model.

And now it just got very hot.

This Black Edition could well be the sexiest they’ve ever built and all for under £15k.

It gets a handful of unique styling upgrades and finishes to make it stand out against the rest of the range.

Three paint colour finishes are available – Nera Black, Bianca White and Hurricane Grey, and all are combined with gloss black finishes on various exterior parts, such as the door mirrors.

Are the White and Grey versions still called the Black Edition though? Hmmm.

However, that aside, the alloys are just immense, 16-inch gloss black with white laser engraving are fitted as standard.

Step inside and you are greeted by a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment display is fas well as Bluetooth connectivity, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, smartphone MirrorLink and a DAB digital radio.

Only one engine is available – the 81bhp 1.2-litre PureTech 82 petrol. Peugeot claim up to 62.8mpg on a combined run. Prices for the 208 Black Edition start from £14,595, and it is on sale now.

Ronaldo probably earns £15k every time he blinks. But even wads on money can’t buy you a decent statue these days.

He should stick to buying a Peugeot.
