Recalls have been in the news a lot recently, especially since the dieselgate scandal broke and Vauxhall Zafiras started bursting into flames.
No car manufacturer is immune from recalls, not even Rolls-Royce. The American National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has issued a recall for one – yes, one – Rolls-Royce Ghost.
The Ghost in question, built on 23 January 2014, has dodgy thorax (side) airbags that could cause injury on deployment. Exactly how the fault was discovered and how it was determined only one car was affected isn’t clear.
Fortunately, it’s an easy fix that can be carried out at the dealer. We don’t know if the owner has been traced, yet.
Since Bentley issued a recall for 28,000 cars a few weeks ago, we’re wondering which luxury car maker will be next. Either way, Rolls will always hold the record for smallest recall.
