Suzuki Baleno hatchback to debut in Frankfurt

Suzuki Baleno

This is the all new Suzuki Baleno; a new compact hatch that will be making its world debut at the upcoming Frankfurt Motor Show.

Frankfurt will mark the debut of the full production version which follows on from the Suzuki iK-2 Concept that was displayed at the Geneva Motor Show earlier this year. The Suzuki Baleno is stated to combined “stylish design, spacious interior and new technologies” and on the surface, the design does seem pretty good.

One of the new technologies include the first application of the newly Suzuki developed 1.0L “boosterjet” engine which is direct injection turbocharged to deliver improved power output and fuel efficiency.

In addition to improving fuel efficiency and performance, the Baleno has had a reduction in weight and the layout of the car has been “optimised” to meet size and weight requirements specific to compact cars.

Further details of the Suzuki Baleno will be revealed alongside the car itself at the Suzuki press conference at the Frankfurt Motor show. The conference will be held at 1.15pm on Tuesday 15th September.

The new Suzuki Baleno will be launched in the UK early next Summer.
