The Jeep Cherokee is currently competing in a very competitive mid-size crossover segment so in order to bring something fresh and unique to the class, a limited edition model may become available every now and again.
Jeep have had a positive reception to the new Cherokee and they aim to continue that with the stylish new Jeep Cherokee Night Eagle limited edition.
While the name is a bit, Transatlantic, that doesn’t too much take away from a rather nice vehicle.
The Jeep Cherokee Night Eagle edition is based on the mid-trim Longitude Plus but from there on out the Cherokee Night Eagle features a number of enhancements to stand out from the rest of the Cherokee range.
The Night Eagle features a number of black styling cues to enhance the design rather handsome design of the Cherokee. Night Eagle models get satin-finished grey elements on the front grille and around the fog light frames.
Cherokee Night Eagle models also get gloss black roof bars and the of course the glorious Night Eagle name badge.
Inside the Jeep Cherokee Night Eagle lies exclusive leather upholstery, a leather steering wheel, heated front seats and Jeep’s 8.4 inch Uconnect system.
The Jeep Cherokee is one of the best crossovers on the market to offer great standard equipment. The Jeep Cherokee Night Eagle follows that trend with an extensive list of standard equipment. Standard equipment includes a nine-speaker sound system with subwoofer, cruise control, dual-zone climate control, electric tailgate, rear parking sensors, automatic headlamps with washer, rain sensing wipers, and power folding mirrors all incredibly coming as standard.
Power in the Jeep Cherokee Night Eagle comes from the new 2.2L MultiJet II turbo diesel engine which produces 200 hp. Jeep have paried the engine with their nine-speed automatic transmission and the Active Drive I 4×4 system.
0-62 mph is completed in 8.5 secs and the top speed is 127 mph. On top of that the Jeep Cherokee Night Eagle can return up to 49.6 mpg combined.
The Jeep Cherokee Night Eagle edition will cost £36,795 OTR when it goes on sale later this week. The limited edition model comes in four colours: Brilliant Black, Bright White, Billet Silver and Granite Crystal and is limited to just 350 models in the UK.
