Tom Ingram claimed the second pole position of his BTCC career with a record-breaking lap of Thruxton in the Speedworks Toyota (watch it here). Contact on the first lap of the race shuffled him down the order, but he kept kept in touch with the leaders and grabbed second when a huge crash between Matt Neal and Ash Sutton brought proceedings to a premature end.

Only Motors’ roving BTCC reporter, Lewis Maundrell, got Tom’s thoughts on that first race and what might be possible for the rest of the day.

Unfortunately, it didn’t go so well for Tom: he could only finish 20th in Race 2 after being given a drive-through penalty for jumping the start, and he retired from Race 3 with an alternator belt failure.

Graham King is the web editor which basically means if it's on this site and it looks great then he had a lot to do with it. If it looks rubbish then that was done on the one day a year he had off. As a quiet man who loves everything about cars, Graham is not known for his talking or walking which is actually kind of ironic because his name appears in both words. Currently you will find him clicking on a mouse vigorously and uploading his passion all over the site.
