Here in Europe, there are very strict rules about how much weight can be loaded on to a truck and how it should be secured. In others parts of the world – Indonesia in this case – they don’t.
Which is how this knackered old truck (a Mitsubishi, we believe) comes to be laden down with at least twice what it can actually carry.
The suspension and chassis are clearly on the verge of imploding, the engine’s probably screaming and the driver has no real control.
We’re not sure if the corner compounds or adds to the driver’s problems, but physics quickly take over and the truck flops onto its side. Physics: 1 – Truck: 0.
Incidentally, we can’t decide if the bikers who undertake the truck as it wobbles along are brave or stupid.
