VOLKSWAGEN’S new baby SUV is ready to Roc and roll…
The new T-Roc will make its world premiere in a week’s time on August 23 – but today they released a a new teaser trailer.
In the short video we catch glimpses of a near production ready version of the car.
The car looks to be more dynamically styled than other SUVs in VW’s line-up, such as the Tiguan.
Form the video renders the T-Roc will have sportier and sharper looks than the Tiguan, characterised by the rear lip on the car’s boot lid which is flanked by new rear light designs.
New LED strip headlights at the front of the car which seem to surround either air intakes or fog lights will give the front of the vehicle’s exterior a quirky presence.
Outlining the vehicle’s windows is a strip of chrome which runs from the front of the car, finishing on the rear boot lid.
A chrome strip also underlines the vehicle’s grille which seems to be specifically designed for T-Roc.
The look of the car seems to carry over many of the design language and styling which debuted on the 2014 Geneva Motor Show T-Roc concept.
VW also gave us a quick insight of the interior which was finished in a vibrant yellow colour scheme.
This bold colour matched interior and exterior is becoming increasingly popular trend across new SUVs – as is the contrast colour roof featured on T-Roc.
T-Roc will sit below the Tiguan in the line-up and will be a crossover for people who want more practicality from their car but perhaps not invest in a full SUV.
The vehicle will be built on the same platform as the Audi Q2 and share a lot of the same DNA.
While the entry-level versions of the car are likely to be front-wheel drive only, 4MOTION all-wheel drive versions are expected on the more premium models.
VW T-Roc will make its official debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September.
We think it will Roc…
