VW Microbus Restoration – Week 9

The hectic summer months continue to eat in valuable Micrbous restoring time. Progress continues at a slow pace – a full body restoration has no easy or quick jobs. The panels that need to be replaced have to be cut away carefully; panels that can be repaired need special care and attention to effect a clean and comprehensive repair.

This week sections of the floor have been identified as damaged and corroded beyond repair, and so need replacing. Tony has cut away the driver’s side forward section of the floor in the back of the bus, and has begun inspecting the top section of the chassis.
