Wildcat launch crowdfunding scheme

You may have heard of the Bowler Wildcat, it was brought to the nations attention when former Top Gear presenter Richard Hammond declared himself a “driving god” whilst driving one.

If you’re not aware of Wildcat it’s time for a short catch up on them. Wildcat specialise in the design and manufacture of all-terrain vehicles but they turn the heat up when doing so and the result has been some extreme on and off road performance vehicles. Ever since the “driving god” moment, Wildcat have sold vehicles in over 16 countries and they supplied BAE for their driverless car project.

Fast forward to the present day and Wildcat are now expanding into the Luxury SUV and military vehicles market. As a result they have launched a crowdfunding project to kickstart the campaign which would hopefully see them launch a new vehicle by 2016 and potentially make a trip to the Geneva Motor Show to showcase it.

According to their page on Crowdcube they are looking to welcome not just business investors but passionate drivers to be a part of the Wildcat Automotive journey to work with them in delivering the next chapter in the company’s story and to do so they are seeking further investment.

Wildcat are on target to raise £1,500,000 needed in exchange for 15% equity in the business and there is a tiered rewards programme for all investors, with the benefits increasing in line with the size of the investment. Given how successful reception was on the Bowler Wildcat, this doesn’t seem like a bad investment at all.
