Team BMR made history at Brands Hatch last weekend, becoming the first ever to race a works-backed Subaru touring car.

It was something of a baptism of fire for the new Levorg GT machine, only turning a wheel for the first time on the Friday before the meeting. But the four cars of Jason Plato, Colin Turkington, Warren Scott and James Cole put in solid performances, posting 10 finishes across the three races, scoring points and setting some good lap times.

Only Motors’ roving British Touring Car Championship reporter, Lewis Maundrell, spoke with Jason after Race 3 to get his reflections on the weekend and find out what the team can achieve at the next round at Donington Park.

Lewis spoke to most of the drivers over the first weekend of the BTCC. You can view his other interviews here

Graham King is the web editor which basically means if it's on this site and it looks great then he had a lot to do with it. If it looks rubbish then that was done on the one day a year he had off. As a quiet man who loves everything about cars, Graham is not known for his talking or walking which is actually kind of ironic because his name appears in both words. Currently you will find him clicking on a mouse vigorously and uploading his passion all over the site.
