Jeremy Clarkson shows off his impressive Segway skills in a brand new Amazon advert.
The former Top Gear host even manages to take a swipe at his former employers the BBC as he promotes the new Amazon Fire TV stick.
Clarkson, who once said that Segways were made so ‘fat Yanks can go to the fridge without expending any energy’, proves that he’s quite the pro.
In the ad he says: “Back in the Spring as you probably remember I became suddenly un-busy and that was okay because I had one of these – an Amazon Fire TV stick.
“Everything you could possibly want.”
While showing what customers can watch with the stick, he quickly skips past a BBC logo.
Co-star James May recently admitted that the trio’s new Amazon motoring show will be a ‘credible rival’ to Top Gear, which will now be fronted by Chris Evans.
Speaking on 5Live about the forthcoming show, which will be co-hosted by Clarkson and Richard Hammond, May said:
“Now [Top Gear is] being reinvented, I think, ‘Well, good luck to them’, because Chris will come up with something different [and] we’ll come up with something different.
“As far as I can work out, no-one really loses out.”
He added: “We each have a credible rival to bounce off, so that’s good fun, and the fans get two shows to watch where there used to be one… what’s not to like?”
