LYNK & Co sounds like some sort of deodorant.
It is in fact a Chinese car firm who have released pictures of a cracking new sporty saloon.
The 03 Concept makes its debut at the Shanghai Motor Show this week and sits on a platform developed with Volvo – the next XC40 crossover will use the same architecture.
So it’s pedigree is good – what about the rest?
It certainly is one of the prettiest sports saloon ever built in China, from certain angles it’s very alluring.
The front end has shades of a VW Jetta yet curiously reminds me of a Porsche Panamera with interesting vertical LED headlamps.
It’s profile is a tad too chunky to be that sporty but it’s not unpleasant.
The interior is where the biggest lead in design comes and proves that the Chinese are making rapid strides in quality and user-friendliness.
The firm say that the car will be permanently connected to wifi hotspots and that you can actually buy the car entirely online.
It gets its world premiere at the Shanghai Show this Wednesday. We’ll find out then if it really has the Lynk effect.
