The Lamborghini Huracan has a rather bright future as the discussion of multiple model variants reached current Lamborghini CEO Stephan Winkelmann.
Company boss Stephan Winkelmann may very well be on the way out of his position at Lamborghini but he spoke to Autocar about the future of Lamborghini.
Winkelmann may not be a part of Lamborghini’s future but he intends on the future to offer more to customers and one way of doing that is by offering mutiple derivatives of a model.
Winkelmann confirmed that the Lamborghini Huracan range will be expanded to offer to offer at least five variants over the model’s lifespan with a high performance version in the making.
“For sure there will be a car that is going in the direction of lighter and faster”
On top of the higher performance Superleggera type Huracan we could also see a Spyder version of the Lamborghini Huracan LP580-2 which is a less powerful yet lighter rear-wheel drive variant revealed a few months back.
If the Lamborghini Gallardo’s lifespan is anything to go by we may also see an even lighter, harder version like the Gallardo LP570-4 Super Trofeo Stradale which was even lighter and more track focused than the LP570-4 Superleggera. Lamborghini also release the Gallardo LP570-4 Spyder Performante which was a topless version of the Superleggera.
This is just us speculating though and as the current boss didn’t really dive into particular details of other Lamborghini Huracan version we can only speculate on the suggested models.
